Welcome to Tiffany Hix Photography! I'm so glad you decided to stop by because I LOVE what I do and I would love to share it with you. Here you will find sneak peeks of recent sessions, images of my adorable children (when they let me photograph them) and random things that I find interesting ... and I am quite random at times! I am so excited to announce the new Children of the Sun Portrait Marathon! I've got all the details worked out and ready to share with you!
The Children of the Sun Portrait Marathon is a limited edition mini session event with special event pricing! The mini sessions are for 1 child or individual only and will last 10 minutes.
When: Saturday, July 10th
Time: 7-9 am & 7-9 pm
Location: Will be disclosed to those who book
Mini Session Fee: $30 fee is non-refundable and payable at the time of booking.
You may register for your Children of the Sun Mini Session here and Tiffany will contact you to select your session time and confirm the details or you may call Tiffany at 208.724.1303 to register by phone. You will also receive an email with helpful session suggestions and tips on what to wear.
Special event portrait rates will be available for the Children of the Sun Portrait Marathon with gift portraits starting at $30 and wall portraits starting at $110. Portrait Collections available.
Space for the Children of the Sun Portrait Marathon is very limited so book your session right away to reserve the time slot of your choice!!

Since I was out of the office for the Professional Photographers of Idaho Annual Convention I didn't have much of a chance to respond to questions regarding the Personal Paparazzi Contest. So, for all of you out there who would like to enter but didn't have the time, NOW is your chance!!!

- Entries must be submitted by Sunday, APRIL 4th! I will post all entries on Monday, April 5th, and the voting will begin immediately!!
- ONE entry per person.
- ONLY separate comments to a picture that state “vote” will be counted as a vote. Simply clicking “like” by the picture will NOT count as a vote!
- ONE vote per person!
- Voting will continue from April 5th through April 11th. Winner will be announced on April 12, 2010!!!
- Submitted images must be of a child or children under the age of 18.
- For obvious reasons, photos taken by professional photographers will NOT be accepted.
The entry deadline has been extended to April 4, 2010. Voting will available April 5-11 and the winner will be announced on April 12, 2010!!

These dull gray skies, cold weather and unpredictable snow are really making me miss the sunshine and warm weather. I love spring ... it's my favorite season! The way the air smells so fresh, the renewal of the plant life, the blooming flowers, the birds chirping, the way the air is crisp but warmed by the sun, the tulips (my favorite flowers), going for walks with the kids and not freezing ... ahhhh, spring!

Due to the large number of people wanting take the photography classes I have decided to add one more class to the schedule!! This may be the last class of the year (I am really going to try to squeeze in one more late in the year but I don't know for sure if it will happen), so don't miss your chance!!
The final class dates are March 6th and 13th at 2:00 PM.
Some topics we will be discussing include:
Camera Functions and how they relate, exposure, histogram, lens selection, file formats, and more! Homework assignments will be discussed and given the first day and are to be returned the following week. Day 2 will include homework review, hands-on outdoor shooting and answering questions.

I am so excited about the Limited Edition Valentine Mini Sessions! Your little girl will LOVE choosing from a variety of pettiskirt colors to wear during her session and there is even an adorable pink couch that is just her size! Let's not forget about those little men in our life too ... a few child size tie options are available and a cool modern black chair for him to climb around on.
The Limited Edition Valentine Mini Sessions include a 15 minute session held at my in-home studio office, a 5x10 desktop storyboard. Special products and print collections will be available. Sessions are for one child. Siblings will incur an additional session fee and their own time slot.

Thank you to all of my wonderful, super, amazing clients in 2009! You have all been fantastic to work with and I loved capturing such important moments in your lives ... from the first kiss of a bride and groom, to a newborn baby, to a playful child, to a high school senior, to a family with grown children scattering around the globe. I know it's hard to believe that fall is fast approaching when the thermometer is still in the high 90's but it will arrive before any of us are ready! And, with fall, that means the changing colors, falling leaves and the most popular time for family portraits. Fall sessions fill up quickly and the early bird gets the worm!
So, for all you early birds who book a fall session to be held in September, October or November during the week of August 14th -21st you will receive a complimentary set of 24 custom design 5x7 press printed flat cards to use a holiday cards or note cards with a Custom Session and minimum print order. Or, book a Signature Session and receive your choice of a complimentary set of 48 custom design 5x7 press printed flat cards or a set of 24 custom design 5x7 press printed folded cards.
The holiday deadlines are as follows:
The last date for sessions to have orders in time for Christmas is November 22nd.
The last date for orders to be placed in time for Christmas is December 2nd.
The last date to pick up final orders is December 13th.
There will not be any session dates available during the month of December.
