I will be unavailable Thursday, June 5th - Sunday, June 8th. I may have limited email access but all calls and emails will be returned on Tuesday, June 10th.

I love sessions where everyone in the family is relaxed and just really ready to go with the flow. It makes for a super fun and relaxed session. We did this fabulous session at their home in the North End, we had gorgeous light, gorgeous kids and lots of fun.

First is their beautiful new baby girl, just 12 days old.

Next is the handsome little man, he may look familiar because he's been in my ads in the Kid's Directory and also on my website.

And here is the big sister of the house in her own little play house ... isn't she lovely??

UPDATE: I have chosen another hosting company and I am backing everything up before moving to the new servers. The website may be down for a little while on Tuesday while the databases are being rebuilt. This blog will now have a dedicated web address of www.tiffanyhixblog.com. I will update when the changes are complete.

I'm so sorry, my website and blog and client previews have been down for about 12 hours.I am currently looking for a new hosting company. I will keep you updated on any changes and possible down times during the process.

Thank you for your patience!
How cute is this little guy and his big ol' dimples??!! Seriously, I just wanted to pinch his little cheeks. Oh my, he was so adorable and so fun to photograph. We had a great time at the Boise Depot for his session. Enjoy!

If you didn't know, I am a huge American Idol junkie. I have watched every episode since Season 1 ... even all of them through the super sucky Season 3. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of reality television, just the ones that require some talent. So, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars have been my two TV shows that are on my must watch list. Now that they are both over I will catch up on LOST and be ready for the season finale next week.

Picture 4.jpg

So, who was surprised by the outcome of American Idol last night?? I thought from day 1 that David Archuleta would win because he would be getting all of those bubble gum teeny bopper girl votes for his adorable shy smile and his huge voice. I kinda think David Cook thought little David would win too, based on his total surprise when they announced he won by 12 million votes! I know I was surprised but happy. You know both will go very far in their success from their start on American Idol.

I have been a big David Cook fan since he did a stellar performance of Eleanor Rigby in the Top 12 Week. I found myself each week becoming more and more of a David Cook fan. The deal was sealed when he sang Billie Jean in the Top 10 week ... it was amazing.

LOL, now for a funny. Gabe is standing next to me and was rather upset that David Archuleta didn't win and told me to "Type that guy (David Cook) out and make David Archuleta win." Oh, what a funny kid. David Archuleta is still a winner and I'm sure the label deals are already flying in for him.

Oh, and I totally called it when I said to Steve in the tryout weeks that the dude in the white hat and coat would be on the finale ... sure enough, Renaldo Lapuz was out singing "I am your brother, your best friend forever ..." in the finale and accompanied by the USC marching band. You can even download the video for it on iTunes.

I will have a sneak peek of an adorable little guy later today ... stay tuned! Enjoy!

Welcome to the totally rad new blog! Didn't I just say a few months ago that I change things far too often?? Hmmm, yep! Ok, oh well, lol! Seriously though, this baby is staying put! The super fabulous team at Into the Darkroom did a fabulous job designing my new blog! There are a couple of things that still need spiffed up a bit but it is ready to go!

Some things to note ...

The navigation is different on this blog. As you can see there is no sidebar, instead you will find all of the navigation tools either at the top of the blog beneath the header or at the bottom of the blog. To find the older blog posts choose a month from the drop down menu at the bottom called Archives.

If you were subscribed to my other blog you will need to subscribe to the RSS feed on this blog. Sorry about that but it will just take a minute and it is very easy to do. First scroll all the way down and on the bottom left of the screen it says Subscribe to RSS, click that and you will be taken to another screen where you will then click on Subscribe in Mail over on the far right hand toolbar. Pretty easy, huh!

Another thing to note is that some of the formatting did not import over quite right but nonetheless all of the content is here so that's all that matters. Maybe some day when I have nothing else to do (yeah, right) I will sit down and fix the format .... or, maybe not!

And yet another note, I have not yet added links but I will be doing so soon and I will post on the blog when the links are all added back in!

I hope you enjoy the new blog as much as I do!

Oh yeah, all post will go beneath this one for a couple of weeks, so just scroll down to see the new stuff :)
So I was trying to make breakfast and Alison, who is NOT a morning person, was having a mega meltdown because her banana broke and I put her Danimals in the wrong cup. I said to Gabe,

Me: Boy oh boy, Alison woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
Gabe: Which side? The side Dad lays on?

LOL! That totally cracks me up! Anyone who knows my husband knows what I'm talking about. He may not really be grumpy but if he doesn't have anything to say he can certainly be perceived as being grouchy. In fact, when we were at Disneyland a couple of years ago he got a Grumpy hat.

Oh, and Alison likes to call Jell-O and jam Jellyfish! So during her meltdown she was also screaming that she wants Jellyfish! Oh, kids are funny!
This is the second time I have photographed these gorgeous girls and they are so much fun! The girls are to the age where they like to show off their sassy side while being photographed and we had a lot of fun with that. We had amazing weather and beautiful light at Kathryn Albertson Park for their session last night! Mom is the Treasure Valley Regional Director of the Wishing Star Foundation, which grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. She is a friend of mine and I have worked with her photographing some of the children of Wishing Star. Please look through the Wishing Star website to learn more about this great organization and to find out how you can help. If you would like to know about upcoming Wishing Star events you can sign up for online updates here.

Now, on to the sneak peek!! Here is Miss "M," aren't her eyes beautiful?!!! And I love her curly hair!

Now for Miss "Z" and her beautiful blue eyes too! Mmm, can't you just smell the lilacs ... ok, not really but they smelled sooooooo good!

And here's all three of the gorgeous girls together! I love the light in this image!

That's all for now ... more sneak peeks coming when the week starts again. Enjoy this fabulous weather!!!!!

I had a great time with this super fun family and the sweet and sassy twins! We had beautiful weather for walking around the Boise Depot, talking and taking some relaxed family portraits. I was so excited the cherry trees were in bloom since Spring has been taking her sweet time getting here. Usually the cherry trees bloom in March, so we got lucky! Here's your sneak peek! Enjoy!
