See that cute little blonde up there? That's my kindergarten school picture ... that crazy blonde up there with her tongue sticking out ... that's me too. It's my birthday so I have a gift for you!! For one day only, tomorrow 4/15/11 (because I don't want to work today) all Signature Sessions booked will receive 100% of the session fee as a credit towards your portrait order! You will also receive a complimentary mini accordion album with images from your session!! Your session just has to be held in 2011, that's the only catch. So, if you know you want to have portraits done this year but maybe in the fall instead of the spring you can still prepay your session fee and be guaranteed a session when the fall colors are at their peak! Isn't that fun?!

You're thinking ... "Hey, what about the contest? I want my kids entered in that though." Well, no worries! You can still book a full session and pay a reduced entry fee of $25 per child and that full amount will be donated to the Wishing Star Foundation. The only catch on this one is that your session must be held before 5/31/11/ for your children to be eligible for the contest.

So, now you're thinking ... "But I want to just book it now so I don't forget tomorrow." I'm like that too! Well, ok! You can, but you can't call me because my wonderful husband is sending me for a spa day and before that I'm having lunch with my awesome parents. Want a portrait session in February? I think you do because there is a special discount for February sessions! Weekday sessions are $350 (regular $500) and weekend sessions are $500 (regular $750) and the ENTIRE session fee will be applied as a credit to your portrait order!! So, now do you want a session in February? Yep, I thought so!! Give us a call at 208.724.1303. Session must be scheduled in the month of February 2011. There is no limitation to the type of session you'd like ... newborn, child, family, couples, engagement ... you choose! You'd better act fast, there are only 2 weekend sessions left available!!

Here is an adorable little family that I had the pleasure of photographing. Their 3 girls are just absolute dolls. Every one was so relaxed and playful so we had a wonderful session! I just love the colors that Mom chose for the session too.

Playing Catchup | Boise Idaho Child Photographer

And so it begins ... my New Years Resolution to blog at least once a week! That means I have a LOT of catching up to do since I was such a horrible blogger in 2010! I also have a new fun little program for Session Spotlights! For each session that is featured on the blog, the client has the ability to earn a cute little gift when there are 20+ comments on their blog entry. Friends | Boise Family Photographer

I have known this family for most of my life, and for their kids, all of their lives. This wonderful, amazing family lived in the house next door to us when I moved to Boise in 1989. They have been ever present, even in the absences where we moved, or their kids were away at school, or those breaks when everyone is just too busy. But, regardless of the time that passes between visits it's as if the time had never passed and it's just normal and right. There are many memories that my parents, sister and I shared with this family and as our families grew they have always been a part of us. I'm thankful to have them in my life!

I was completely honored to photograph them as a family at this important stage in their lives. Thank you!!! Much love always!

Fall Mini Sessions | Boise Child and Family Photographer

Fall has arrived and with that comes the gorgeous colors, the cooler temperatures and the perfect time for family portraits! In fact, October is officially Family Portrait Month.

To celebrate the colors of fall and to accomodate all of those clients who wish to participate in Family Portrait Month I have opened up a limited number of Fall Mini Sessions!!

The Fall Mini Session fee of $350 includes 20 minutes of shooting time, 24 beautiful press-printed custom holiday/note cards, and a $250 print credit. A selection of speciality items as well will also be available. After your mini-session, you will be shown a minimum of 8-10 images and will work with Tiffany to finalize your order and create your custom cards.

The Fall Mini Sessions will not be held on specific days this year because of how unpredicatable the weather has been. Instead, sessions will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis and 2 sessions will be scheduled on each mini session date.

Another Sweet Baby! | Boise Idaho Newborn Photographer

Yay, I'm blogging again today! What can I say, I've been having a fabulous summer and not getting much blogging done. It's hard to believe that it's almost over and school starts in less than 2 weeks. I'm so backed up on Session Spotlights but I'll get caught up soon enough.

Today I have another cutie little newborn that was just as sweet as can be. You've seen Miss "P" already because she was the subject for one of my competition prints earlier this year but just because she's 6 months old already doesn't mean she shouldn't get a session spotlight ... better late than never! And here she is ... super sweet, super cute!

Personal Paparazzi Contest | Boise Child & Family Photographer

Tiffany Hix Photography is bringing in spring with a ROAR and starting it off with an AWESOME contest!!! Introducing the Personal Paparazzi contest!!

Here's the dealio:

1. Have a little photo session of your own with a child in your life (or you can submit a recent picture, if you prefer!)

2. Send your ONE favorite photo to me via email, I will then post them to a special contest album on my facebook fan page.

3. Join my facebook fan page, either by the facebook icon above, by searching for "Tiffany Hix Photography" on facebook, or by the link found here

4. Send people (your friends, family, co-workers and everyone else you can think of) to join my facebook fan page and VOTE for their favorite photo (i.e. YOURS!)

5. The winner will be announced on April 1st based on the total number of votes for each entered image. Votes are counted as comments on each individual image/entry. A person must be a fan of my facebook fan page to vote. Votes from people that are not fans will not be counted!

THE RULES!

- Entries must be submitted by TUESDAY, MARCH 23rd! I will post all entries on Wednesday, March 24th, and the voting will begin immediately!!

- ONE entry per person.

- ONLY separate comments to a picture that state “vote” will be counted as a vote. Simply clicking “like” by the picture will NOT count as a vote!

- ONE vote per person!

- Voting will continue from March 24th through March 31st. Winner will be announced on April 1, 2010!!!

- Submitted images must be of a child or children under the age of 18.

- For obvious reasons, photos taken by professional photographers will NOT be accepted.

THE PRIZE!!!

The winner will receive a complimentary Custom Session and a Custom Framed Signature Storyboard (a $600 value)!!

The session must take place in the Boise, ID area and be redeemed by May 30, 2010. A signed model release will also be required prior to the session.
