So, sit back and enjoy ... be sure to leave comments because when a client receives 10+ comments on their Session Spotlight they get a special little gift from me ... so comment away, we all love comments!!

What is Tiffany's photographic style?
Tiffany style is fresh, playful, fun and whimsical. Tiffany strives to show the connections between children and their families in a relaxed way and works hard to connect with the children she photographs to really bring out their little personalities and let them shine in their portraits.
What is a Signature Session?
A Signature Session is the full blown Tiffany Hix Photography experience. You will receive Tiffany's attention to detail as she works with you to help bring your vision to reality and even if you don't yet have a vision for your portraits, she will work with you to help create the perfect portrait session for your child and family. From helping you choose the right clothes to wear, to which portraits to display on the wall and which to put in the album, Tiffany will make the process relaxing and fun! She wants you to be nothing less than thrilled with your Tiffany Hix Photography experience.
When should I schedule my session?
In order to provide the best experience for each and every client, Tiffany limits the number of sessions available on a monthly basis. It is recommended to schedule your session three to four weeks in advance and two to three months in advance for the popular fall season. If you are an expectant mother, although Tiffany tries to leave times open for newborns, it is best to contact her before your baby is born to guarantee that a session will be available.
What is the Portrait Consultation?
The best way to make each session personal and unique to you is to plan every detail of it. During the portrait consultation Tiffany will help determine the best location and time of day for you session, then get in to the details, such as clothes, the style and vision, and determine the needs of the session to assure the final portraits are exactly what you want.
What locations are available for sessions?
Signature sessions are held on-location, whether in and around your home or at an outdoor location. Tiffany will offer suggestions of her favorite places and is always open to new and fun suggestions. Locations will be discussed in detail during the consultation to assure that the location matches the look and feel that you have in mind for your portraits.
What is the best time of day for our session?
Ideally, Tiffany prefers to schedule outdoor sessions 1 - 2 hours before sunset because the light is soft and beautiful. But, she understands that bed times and nap schedules don't always work around the sun so during the consultation the best times will be discussed and determined. For indoor sessions, Tiffany usually schedules sessions for 11 am or 1 pm.
What should we wear for our session?
Clothing is such an important part of planning for your portrait session. Clothing will be discussed during the portrait consultation and Tiffany will send you a detailed guide to help make your clothing selection a little more fun. Tiffany will gladly help you style your session if you need additional assistance.
What is a session like?
Sessions are always fun! Forget those stressful portrait sittings of the past! Tiffany likes to make sure everyone stays relaxed during the session to keep everyone in good spirits. You'll often see her rolling around on the ground, making funny faces and sounds, telling jokes, running around playing peek-a-boo, and being an all around goof ball! Tiffany will do everything she can to make sure your session is fun, but that means you've got to be prepared to have fun and be silly too ... yes, even the dads!
How long do sessions typically last?
Signature Session's generally last 45-90 minutes but can go up to 2 hours so that if your child needs a snack break or a little snuggle time as well as time for outfit changes, they can certainly have that time. The amount of time spent photographing your child and family will depend greatly on the age and temperament of the child. Newborn sessions typically last a full 2 hours and occasionally last a bit longer.
What happens after the session?
Approximately 2 weeks after your session, you'll come in to the studio for a personal design and ordering appointment where Tiffany will show you your gorgeous images as a slideshow set to music. This appointment is customized for you. Tiffany knows it's a difficult process to choose your final portraits so she will take the time and care that is needed to help you select what is best for your needs. Your order is to be placed during this time, so please be certain that all decision makers are present.
How much should I plan to invest in custom portraiture?
Typically, clients plan to invest at least $850 for a Signature Session. The average investment ranges from $1,800 to $3,700, a budget that allows you to furnish your home with beautiful wall portraits that your family will cherish forever, albums and gift portraits, and your custom musical slideshow.
What is an Essential Session?
The Essential Session is a great way to get a little taste of what Tiffany Hix Photography is all about or to capture those moments or milestones that don't require a full session. The Essential Session is a 20 minute studio session from which you'll be shown 8-12 images in a private online gallery. Sessions are available from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Thursday and by appointment only. Essential Collections start at $199. The average investment for Essential Sessions ranges from $400 to $800, a budget that allows for several gift portraits of different images and a specialty item.
Are digital files available?
Tiffany believes that the only way to truly archive your portraits is by having them printed. Having beautiful, finished portraits and products will always remain the best and most valuable way to enjoy your portraits and to share them with future generations. Digital media is new, unstable and in a near constant state of change. Low resolution digital files for sharing via email, blogs, twitter and Facebook are available for purchase and included with the purchase of a portrait collection.
Can I copy or scan the prints?
No, it is a violation of Federal Copyright Laws for any photograph to be scanned, copied or reproduced in any way without the expressed written consent of the photographer. The images remain copyrighted by Tiffany Hix Photography. If you need a digital file of an image, please contact Tiffany directly for pricing details.
Does Tiffany photograph weddings, engagements or other events?
At this time, Tiffany only photographs newborns, babies, children, teens and their families.
