Welcome to my blog!
Welcome to Tiffany Hix Photography! I'm so glad you decided to stop by because I LOVE what I do and I would love to share it with you. Here you will find sneak peeks of recent sessions, images of my adorable children (when they let me photograph them) and random things that I find interesting ... and I am quite random at times! So, sit back and enjoy ... and be sure to leave comments because every one loves comments!!
I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night after waiting in line and in the theater for 4 hours ... yep, 4 hours (it's ok, you can call me crazy, lol). It was a very entertaining movie that made me giggle, laugh and scream (when Edward came on the screen the first time). I'm not filing it away in my "love every second of it" movie list yet though. Why ... well, because the book is just so fabulously written with great details that you can visualize so well while reading.
You become so engrossed in the book by the love story that is Edward and Bella and the little things that happen as they fall in love. Of course, you can't make a movie long enough to truly tell the story the way the book does. There were several parts of the story that happened out of order or in the wrong locations and some parts that should have been in the movie that weren't there. For instance, Edward or Bella never said the word "Dazzle." Some parts that were missing are integral to the stories in the other books too, but I guess they'll just have to take care of those in any other movies. Hollywood of course had to add some extra violence that wasn't in the book and was unnecessary to the movie's story line. I felt that time could have been better spent on the Edward/Bella romance.
Overall, I really did like the movie but you simply can not compare the movie and the book because they are 2 different things. I knew going in that it was going to be changed but I wasn't expecting some of the changes that were made and I think that really threw me off. I am going to the movie again tonight with a big group of girls and I'm thinking that I will enjoy it much more the second time around.
Oh, and Brandy and I sat next to a hilarious group of 14 year old girls from Rocky Mountain High School. They entertained us all evening. Thanks Holly, Kenzie, Hayley, and Lindsey!! I've decided that I am totally a 14 year old girl at heart ... my husband says I'm a 14 year old girl in heart and mind, LOL ... well at least it keeps me young!!!
I hope I didn't spoil anything for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet.

- I agree with your veiws on the movie. I went into the movie knowing that the movie and book will be different in some level, but I wasn't prepared on how much they left out compared to the book. Yes, they could have left a particular scene out with the NoMads and concentrated on the love story a little more. Like you, the second time will be more enjoyable since the build up/hype of the movie has been removed.

- Oh, thank you for seeing it again! It's like I'm living vicariously through you. You've got me all excited to see it now! (Not that I really needed another reason to get excited to see it, really :)
